Cat Crisis

So my cat went into heat today. I had researched the subject some months back when I first thought she was in heat but no, this is much worse and much more obvious. She has taken to 'calling' her mate...or novio as the Salvadorans like to call them. These calls sound so loud like she has stabbing pains or something. It makes me sooo scared, sad, nervous, helpless all at the same time. And, she does this out of control constant rolling on the ground bit which makes me feel worse. It seriously sounds and looks like she is seriously ill or dying.

To make matters worse, she snuck out the door while I was talking to my neighbor...I am sooo dumb! I let my cat in heat out in the wild neighborhood of potential baby's daddies. Alas, me and a few neighbors chased her back inside but not after several heart attacks and crazy thoughts about a dozen mini-Cleo's.

I know, I know- why haven't I taken her to get fixed? Well, she is only 6 months old and I am waiting for my mom to bring me a cat carrier from the States. I don't trust my cat nor do I like the idea of taking her in a cardboard box on a bus to the vet. So...she must wait. But, mark my words it will happen the minute I get the carrier. Cat's who want action are painful to be around....
